Maggie Sikora

Maggie Sikora established Mapis Project (Making A Positive Impact Socially) in 2009. Her role as Managing Director involves maintaining the operational performance of the company, directing strategies ensuring profitability and growth, organisation, and representing the company to clients and funders.

She has also aided over 800 disadvantaged people, bringing them into employment, education or training, managed one of the first English High Fashion modelling academies and choreographed London Fashion Week.

Her efforts have netted Mapis Project several prestigious honours including the “Investment for Training Award“, “Highly Commended Group of the Year Award”. Maggie was also a nominee of the 2011 “Fashion Icon of the Year”.

Maggie cites her past as a primary precedent in the inception of Mapis Project; she began acting and modeling at 14 as an “escape from the reality of domestic violence and alcohol abuse”, until at age 20, health difficulties rendered her paralysed and in hospital. When she eventually overcame this, her experiences up to, during, and beyond this time became powerful motivators in aiding those who have struggled with social exclusion.
